Woohoo, I'm having my gallbladder operation tomorrow as there has been a cancellation. Just come back from the hospital and had the blood tests etc all done. Feel very nervous but glad at the same time
I have gone through such a surgery (I am sans a gallbladder, too) and it wasn't too bad. Took it easy for a couple of days and then felt pretty much like my old self (but had to wait about 6 weeks to do sit ups - after 8 years I guess I am still waiting ;).
