Ahem

Ok, so I've not blogged recently.............meh, what excuse to use lol? Been under awful stress from one thing or another.........from things going wrong on the car, to a 5 month old cooker breaking down, to trying to move house, bloody panic attacks..............it's enough to drive me bonkers lol. When stress gets to me (when its abundant) I have a habit of breaking from my normal routines and saying 'sod it', and sod it I did. But I feel better for it and firmly believe that you have to break from routines now and again, besides the fact that routines become so bleedin boring lol. (Yeah, yeah, I'm drunk blogging again, so shoot me lol).
Guess what? I got reaquainted with old friends today and it was feckin delightful...........we picked up where we left off. So me and Him Indoors will also be playing role playing games again...................oi, stop being pervs, not THEM kind of games but Advanced Dungeons and Dragons, silly! We used to be avid players, but we went to the dark side and started playing World of Warcraft online muhaha!
<>
The weather was absolutely bootiful today, was it not? Blue skies and hot sun etc etc etc, meh lol
I cooked spagbol from scratch, cant stand the shit that comes in jars only lazy people buy lol. We had that then opened a really big bottle of wine and sat and watched Britains Got Talent whilst getting nicely aquainted with the bottle. So glad Diversity won.
Not done any cross stitching either, lost the will to do it but will probably pick it up at some point. Might pick it up and loook at it lol and chuck it back in the bag or put some stitches in, who can tell lol?
Still reading lots, have several books to blog on the other blog. Still plodding through War and Peace, although I have to say that I am enjoying it...............a bit of sophistication hehehe.
Guess I'd better leave it there for now, I had so much more to say but it all fecked off over my head lol.
Hope you are all having a lovely weekend and I will endeavour to catch up on all your blogs.........meh, well most of them or some of them lol..........tomorrow. xxxxxxxxxx

Greedy Ba****ds

OK, this might seem trivial to most of you but it is principal. I just went to my local Tescos to buy my bread. I buy the Weight Watchers one, for two reasons, my diet and my gallstones, as it contains less fat then standard breads. My beef is that it has gone up by 12 pence in a week, when other breads are coming down in price. How do the greedy bastards justify a 12p hike? The bread is manufactured by Warburtons so I contacted them via their website. They guarantee a reply within 5 working days. BTW, I was very polite and just happened to mention that I brought their rivals equivalent, Hovis Nimble as it was cheaper and still only half a weight watchers point per slice! (Compared to 1.5 points per normal sliced bread)
Like I said, it's principle :P

Buget 2009

This was posted on the Jeremy Clarkson for Priminister site on Facebook by Martin Shaw.
I liked it and thought I would share.

Budget 2009

THEY said there would be no more boom and bust in the economy. Just before the financial system exploded.
They made a solemn pledge in their election manifesto that they would not raise income tax. And now they have.
They were out with the amount of borrowing they'd need by an enormous £2,400million.
They said that if they cut VAT to 15 per cent then everything would be all right. And it wasn't.
They told us there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. And they got that wrong too.
They get everything wrong.
Think about it. The only reason Gordon Brown was called the Iron Chancellor is because he sold all our gold.
And he was out with the timing of that too, selling it when prices were at their lowest.
And what do they do as the economy burns? Why, they dream up rude emails about their opponents. They buy new curtains for their second homes.
They even spent a good chunk of time the other day discussing whether or not first-born daughters should be allowed to become queen.
Something that won't be an issue for at least 70 years.
And now Alistair Darling has announced that he's going to take half what I earn in income tax and then help himself to the other half with stealth taxes.
Yet weirdly, this badger-faced ar*e had the barefaced cheek to stand on the steps of No11 on Budget day, smiling.
Then, after he'd delivered his speech, Brown was smiling too, like he may actually be deranged.
Well now, I fear, something has to be done...
Let's imagine for a moment that we are all on a plane, with Brown and Darling at the controls.
We are heading for a mountain. We know that we are all about to be killed. And it is becoming increasingly obvious that our two pilots are completely useless.
Sure, they keep telling us over the PA system that it's the biggest mountain they've seen since 1945 but we're not to worry.
Unfortunately, however, we are worried because we keep being told by cabin staff that instead of trying to take sensible avoiding action, Brown and Darling are spending most of their time writing rude emails about other pilots, watching porn films and discussing whether Prince William's as yet unborn daughter should become queen.
And they won't increase power to the engines and climb out of danger because this would cause global warming.
How long would you sit still before you decided to act?
Staging a protest is no good. You can dance around in the aisles waving placards and chanting as much as you like but the pilots will pay no attention.
And then you will be clubbed to death by the onboard marshal. Who'll later say you'd had a heart attack.
What else can you do? Have a drink? Nope. You can't afford it.
A smoke? You couldn't afford that either and anyway, like absolutely everything these days, it's not allowed.
Nor is it a good plan to wait for the pilots' hours to be up and for a new team to come on board.
Because by then it'll be way too late and, anyway, who's to say the new team will be any better? I like David Cameron. He's a good man. But I don't hear him using the words that we all want to hear. "Savage". "Brutal". And "Massive".
Brown and Darling believe they can use our wallets to solve the problems they have created. Wrong. Instead of asking us for more money, they should be thinking of ways they can spend less.
Currently, the Civil Service employs more people than live in Sheffield. Cut it. Hugely. No trimming. No shaving. Get in there with a fire axe and get rid of all the managers, the health and safety experts, the ethnicity advisers. All of them. Out. Now.
And the Olympics? Stop the stadium plans immediately. We have swimming pools already. We have running tracks. Use those.
The opening ceremony? Well, Standard do a pack of catherine wheels and bangers for about £7.99. That'll do.
Would the Tories do any of that? I doubt it. And nor will the shower we have in charge at the moment.
So that leaves us in our seats, with no chance of rescue, unable to storm the cockpit door because it's locked, and powerless to do anything else either.
So how's this for a plan? All the passengers put on a parachute and jump.
Seriously. Ecomentalists are always trying to make their own electricity from dung and weeds so they can get "off the grid".
But why stop there Why not simply unplug yourself from the system completely?
Put false plates on your car, refuse to separate your rubbish into categories, pay no more than 25 per cent of your income in tax, because that's enough, smoke where you damn well like, drink as much as you want — and if a burglar comes to your house, cut his head off.
I'm suggesting we all get up, go to work, earn money, enjoy life, make friends, have a laugh and simply ignore the Government.
Let them fly their plane into the mountain. It won't matter. Because we won't be on board.

Fatty Club.

Just got back from Weight Watchers and I have lost another lb. That makes a total of 13lbs so far.
I am feeling very tired and lethargic and sick so I think I will go back to bed for a couple of hours.......be glad when they take they bloody gallstones out. I never seem to have any energy these days and now they are causing me to have the sweats too. I can cope with it all but it is darn annoying. What I wouldn't give to have a nice KFC..........darn saturated fats and gallstones pmsl.

Catalytic Converter

We had to get the car fixed today. The catalytic converter had to be replaced because it fell off the car pmsl. Not funny really as it cost £167 minus the AA discount which made it £134. At least Him Indoors can take me shopping again. I really dont mind the walk, it's just trying to carry everything home. Talking of Him Indoors, he passed welding and electrical systems at college which he attends one day a week. I just hope his company puts his new skills to good work lol.

I hope everyone is well and that you are having a nice day.

Destiny and dinner

I had a nice surprise at tea time. My son Chris, brought my granddaughter Destiny round to see me. I don't get to see her that often where Chris is not with her mother any more.
She is just over a year old now.

I made Chilli Con Carne for dinner and judging how fast Him Indoors and my son gobbled it down, it couldn't have been too bad pmsl.

Behind Again

I'm behind in blogging yet again! Things have been hectic what with the twins and their sickness bug, but they are over it now and back to school!
I will endeavour to try and keep up to date with everything. I had way too many blogs to read so I had to mark them all as read in my google reader and start afresh as from today.
The weather is really nasty here at the moment, lots of rain and really strong winds. I hope it clears up for the weekend!

Quiet weekend and sick twins

It's been a quiet weekend which has been nice.

The twins have had a sickness bug for a week now. One gets it, gets over it and the other one gets it again. So at the moment, Ashley is with me and Joshua is with his dad. We are hoping it will break the sickness cycle. Joshua should be back tomorrow.

Instead of the usual roast, I got the slow cooker out and did a really nice chicken casserole complete with baby potatoes in it. It really was nice and tasty and made a nice change.

It was supposed to have rained today but it didnt so I am hoping it stays nice again tomorrow so I can take the doggies for a nice long walk. I've been a bit stir crazy the last couple of days lol.

Him Indoors did the garden on Saturday. It looked like a jungle lol. Before and after pictures can be seen here

Can't think of anything to say now, so I will say goodbye for now lol. Hope everyone else had a great weekend!
