Pre Op jitters
A trip to Kew
Friday night we went up to Him Indoors parents for the weekend who live in Dunstable. On the Saturday we went to Kew Botanical Gardens. The weather was absolutely fabulous, needless to say I got sunburnt but without beeing too sore. The huge glass houses were unbelievably hot, especially the palm house, in which I kept darting under the spray mists every time they turned it on, just to cool down. I really enjoyed it there as I had never been before.
Him Indoors took this of me by the huge lavender rows they have. I really like this picture but...............................
Not so much this one. Can you see the panic on my face? Thats because I am a few hundred feet in the air on a treetop walkway. I'm not frightened of heights as such but I didnt like this one as you could see everything below under your feet and the thing moved............I had to go around it though as it was one way traffic, boy did I move quick lol. Plus the lift was not working so we had to climb a lot of stairs. I damn near run down them though lol.
All in all we had a lovely weekend!

Stressed out
Today, is not so good. I feel like I have too much upon my shoulders. I know moving is a stressful business, but at the moment I am having trouble with coping with everything on my own. I just want to curl up in a little ball somehwere and go to sleep for several days! But I know I can't because all the stress will still be there where everything still needs to be done. Too much has gone wrong lately and I am not seeing a light at the end of the tunnel!
Im supposed to be going away next weekend, but to be honest, right now I don't think I can face going..........to me, it's just another lot of stress I could do without right now!

Playing 'tourist' in Hastings :-)
Him Indoors, the twins and I, had a lovely day out yesterday. We went to the The Blue Reef aquarium which our friend was managing so we didnt have to pay to get in. Also Keiron gave us a guided tour as well. We had a drink in their cafe afterwards, and he then phoned through to The Smugglers Caves, and we didnt have to pay for that either. How cool was that of Keiron!
The Smugglers Caves are on the west hill on a cliff, so we took the clift lift up. It was built in Victorian times. The photo is a view from the lift going up. Up the top, you can just see the other lift.
Him Indoors and me taken on the West Hill by Josuha.
Ashley and Joshua on the West Hill.
The twins and I on the beach.
We really did have a lovely day. I didnt feel like cooking, so we rounded the day up at The Rainbow.
Him indoors ex wife is still recovering, so later on last night, we went down to hers and I cooked dinner for her seeing as she is still having trouble moving.

Popcorn on fire lol
Him Indoors ex wife Kim, has been in hospital for an operation on her back. She doesn't really have anyone to help or care for her so we have been back and forth from the hospital and feeding her cats for her. Yesterday we took her home and hopefully she will recover quickly from her operation.
Last night we sat and watched two films with the twins, Hellboy 2 and Ironman which we all enjoyed. I bought some of that microwave popcorn which we have never had before. The first pack I put in the micro caught fire hehehe . Well, it said two to three minutes on the packet, so I put it in for three lol. My gawd does burnt popcorn stink to high heaven. Yes I had had a few drinkies but I knew what I was doing lol

Bleach addict
I decided to do some 'spring' cleaning around the house today. I am having one of those days where I need to keep busy lol.
1. Done the whites washing.
2. Done the washing up that couldnt be put in the dishwasher.
3. Put the washing up away.
4. Emptied the dishwasher.
5. Put dirty things into the dishwasher
6. Clean and bleached all the kitchen surfaces down.
7. Hoovered the front room.
8. Completely cleaned the toilet out, including bleaching all surfaces, woodwork, the window, the bin, the weighing scales.
9. Hoovered the toilet floor.
10. Washed hallway down.
11. Cleaned the dogs eating area including the water bowl.
12. Washed the hall floor.
13. Washed the kitchen floor.
14. Cleaned the hoover down.
15. Washed the kitchen sink.
16. Hung out/up the washing.
I am a bit worried about # 14, that I cleaned and bleached down the hoover, makes me one sad puppy lol. I love the smell of bleach, crazy I know. It's cheap and does just as good a job as other cleaners, if not better lol. (OMG, what do I sound like lol).
I'm going now, I think the bleach is calling me to clean the bathroom now
Interesting day
Today my mum passed away 10 years ago. It seems to have gone so quick. I went with my ex husband, who was like a son to her, to meet my sister and her partner dave and my stepdad Michael, at her grave. It was poignant as these moments tend to be. We then went for a drink afterwards. It was nice to spend some time with my family. Michael is even on facebook now, so I expect he will keep an eye on us all now .
While we were at the cemetry, Him Indoors cooked the Sunday roast, which was pretty good I have to say.
In the evening we went down to see my friend Kim, which was nice as I don't get to see her often. She is having an operation on her back on Tuesday, so I hope all goes well for her and I shall be there for her if she needs me.
I did have a few drinkies on Saturday night but didnt blog as I was tipsy. I slum'd it and had a big bottle of Lambrini. Tastes nice but I paid for it today with a massive headache, due to it being cheap stuff and all the sulphur they put in it. I must sound like a drink a lot to those who regularly read my blog, but honestly, I don't. Just mainly on a Saturday night

Whoever said.................
My cooker was finally fixed yesterday. It nearly didnt get fixed though due to the crappy service centre that Beko use. It took them two weeks to get someone out to fix it. When I first rang up, they did the 'your a stupid woman and dont know what your talking about' act on me, trying to tell me that it was not wired into the terminals properly and that I should go and get it rewired, the arseholes. Well, even though we knew it wasn't that, it still kind of makes you doubt yourself so we brought new wiring and redone it. Still didnt work. So Him Indoors rung them and the operator said we still should of been given an appointment and so made us one for Yesterday and three times we specifically said they have to come after 12pm as nobody wouldnt be home in the morning. Guess what? The feckers turned up at 9.30am and left a message on the anserphone saying he had left a card (no card to be found!) and we needed to make a new appointment. Well, that was it, I blew my top at the operator who didnt believe that we had said to call after 12. So I knew the calls were all recorded and got her to phone me back after she had listened to the last phone call. Guess what? Yep she heard that we said after 12pm . So 45 minutes later, a bloke turned up to fix it. Opened the back of the cooker bypassed the thermal fuse with another bigger one and said it was a known design fault with the fuses and that they blew after reaching a certain temperature so many times! Oh, and the reason we didnt have his calling card through the door was because he had knocked at the wrong house previously! What a numbnuts! But at least I have an oven I can use now!
Oh and if that wasn't enough, the telephone buggered up too. Thats the second BT one to do so, so we went to Tesco's and bought a nice Philips one at a reasonable price. I now hope thats it as we have had a run of back luck the last two weeks what with the exhaust dropping of the car, then the cv boot thingymajig going three times (fixed by Citreon itself now lol), the cooker breaking down, the printerhead going on my lully kodak printer and now the phone. Thought it was supposed to go in three's? Thats more than three lmfao!

Good day
Becky and I then did some girlie shopping together and then went to The Rainbow briefly and had a glass of wine. We then went to my ex husbands (and Beckys dad)) and saw my grandaughter Destiny. She's just over one years old and growing very quickly! So, I had a lovely day.
When I got home, I discovered that Kodak had already sent out my new printer head. Kudos' to them and their swift response. We only rang them Monday, how's that for service!

Handed the forms in
Just come back from handing all the forms into the local housing office for my transfer. I can't wait to move. We like where we are but have decided to downsize from a 3 bed to a 2 bed. They are crying out for 3 beds and I have a spare one that mainly gets used as a junk room. They have this bidding system in place now and because we have opted to downsize, we get extra points
We tried Homeswapper but we were absolutely swamped with offers. The phone didnt stop ringing. So we opted for the transfer instead. Less stress when its just you moving into another property rather than swapping and trying to move furniture in and out of a property at the same time. Plus you hear so many stories of people being let down at the last moment.
I understand it could be a while before we get accepted for a property, but I don't mind............less stress still
Hope everyone is having a nice day!

Two good results
Had two good results today. Firstly, Beko are coming out to fix my 5 month old cooker on Friday. So by then I would have been without a fully working cooker for five days . Thank gawd for the microwave and George Foreman! I did ring Beko last week but the contractors were arseholes to me giving me the little woman act and telling me the cooker was not wired to the terminals correctly which was pants. Went out replaced the wiring and it's still not working. The person we spoke to today at Beko said that they should of sent someone out the first time we called .
Secondly my lully Kodak all in one printer packed up so we rang Kodak and they said it was the printer head and that it was a known fault with my printer batch and they were having to wait for people to ring them so they could send out replacement heads for free. They were so very polite. Can't wait to recieve it as I need to print out some charts for my stitching lol .
Had the gas bolier checked to day for its annual check up and it was all fine. Not worried if it needed things doing to it seeing its owned by the housing association muhaha .
