I have always been afraid of spiders.........and I blame my mum for it. When I was small, I remember her screaming her head off as there was a big hairy spider on the bedroom wall and my dad coming up and flattening it on the wall with a whack from a newspaper. Being a child I was impressionable, and screamed every time I saw a spider.
I don't scream now, but I still don't like them.
