Flowers, wine and chocolate

I was very lucky today to receive this lovely bouquet of flowers, wine and chocolate from Sarah's dad, to say thank you for looking after Sarah in her hour of need. They really are very beautiful.

Sarah went to the funeral yesterday and she was very brave. Things are looking more positive for her as she has a new flat to move into. The landlord is in there decorating it so her and Ben should be able to move in within the next couple of weeks or so. It will be great for her and her two little children. Sarah has asked me to be her surrogate mum even if she splits up with Ben. She has no other female relative in her life other than her younger sister. I have six children already so what's one more? lol

An evening out

Him Indoors and I have just got back from my sisters. She lives across the road from me. We ordered in a Chinese meal and had some wine, just a very small half a glass for me, as the dinner made my tummy a bit gippy. Nothing wrong with the meal, just too much richness so soon after the operation I think. My sister Sharron, made a lovely chocolate and strawberry french tart, made with 80% pure chocolate.........but the pain afterwards was well worth it, especially as she made it for us.
My sister and I have been estranged for years, but we are both making an effort to get to know each other and things seem to be going in the right direction. We have even agreed to go fishing with her and her partner Dave who is a very keen angler. Him Indoors wants to get back into it and I have never fished. I will give it a go as long as the fish don't get hurt and Sharron assures me that they use fish friendly kit whatever that is lol! She has a lovely boxer dog called Jayjay, who is gay, I kid you not. He only likes boy dogs and is the biggest softy ever lol.
Thats it for now. Hope everyone has a nice weekend!

Worth Watching

It's been a nice Easter Sunday. My younger daughter Kim came round with my two grandsons for a while and to pick up their Easter eggs. The twins have enough chocolate to last them ages! I also got two eggs even though I'm on a diet and I have ate one already hehehe.

We watched the 3rd instalment of Red Dwarf, Back to Earth, and I did enjoy it. Him Indoors and the twins enjoyed watching it too. We aslo watched the rerun of Saturdays Primeval tonight as it clashed with Dr Who. All good fun and escapism no matter how many people pan it.........each to their own after all. And why knock it because it does not smack of reality....................duh, it's a TV show not a documentary! It's for entertainment and it entertains my family and thats a good thing in my book. Lifes too short to moan about anything and everything, if your going to moan then make it about something worth while ie why so many children are living in poverty............now thats something worth moaning about! (Even though it's a profound subject.)

I hope everyone is having a nice long extended weekend!

Meh!

Not been feeling too good lately, lots of stomach problems, so today I have mostly spent the day in bed reading. I am totally craving chocolate but my stomach won't take it. Good for the diet though lol! I will be glad when I have had the operation!

Back to the Fatty Club

Photobucket

I went back to the fatty club today after a couple of months of not going. Needless to say I had put a lot of weight back on. I bloody well know think it all went on over Christmas and had something to do with 3 boxes of Thorntons chocolates, a tin of Roses, a tin of Quality Street and some other festive fayre lol. Now, if putting weight back on isn't bad enough, Weight Watchers, in their infinite wisdom, has dumped the previous plans and come out with their new Discovery Plan. I liked it before when I didnt have to point anything and weigh anything, but now I got to do that. But I guess it's worth it to look like a goddess slim and healthy in the summer months
