Oh dear, it never rains but it pours as the saying goes. Last week the clutch went on the car, this week the fuel pumps gone! Talk about being in financial shit especially seeing as the car tax and M.O.T is due in a few weeks . Oh well, such is life huh!
I would consider selling Him Indoors but I would probably have to give a refund as he would be brought back as faulty goods hahaha

Happy Halloween and stuff

I got some good news this week regarding my Water Bill and Southern Water ( see this post http://amethystlady.blog.co.uk/2009/10/12/water-bill-7152421/). We had someone come out and check the water meter and our thoughts were confirmed, the meter number assigned to our house wasn't our meter! Good news indeed after facing a £76 water bill for just one month. Even the guy couldn't understand how the mixup has happened. Our meter isnt on our property it is up the road and round the corner..........what a weird setup lol. At least it's all sorted now.

Him Indoors went back to work this week after having three weeks off with a bad back...............so it's nice and peaceful now lol.

I got a lovely dining table and chairs secondhand for £56. It was an absolute bargain and the table is real wood too and been looked after ever so well. The chairs are a bit scruffy but nothing a gentle sanding can't fix.

The twins now have glasses for reading. Funny thing is they like wearing them where as most kids wouldnt at their age lol.

I just realised I have been conned by Him Indoors! He promised he would cook one day over the weekend to give me a break and he hasn't .
Time to start plotting revenge muhaha!

Weekend Catch Up

Friday evening Him Indoors and I were getting ready to go out, when we got a power cut. Luckily, I had my war paint on and knew where to find the bottle of wine but touch alone........glad I am astute at times hehehe. The power was still out when the taxi arrived..........can't grumble as its very rare it happens.

We got a taxi into town and went to Intimo's. We ordered a bottle of wine, a nice Italian jobby. I had salmon fillet with creamy mash and lovely aldente seasonal veg which were cooked just right. Colin had a nice big juicy steak and chips with a salad. I had raspberry sorbet (Im on a diet) and Him Indoors had home made banofee pie with cream. My oldest son Ben met us in there and had a pint and then we all moved on to the Havelock, a good old fashioned pub that stays open till 3am, not one of those awful swanky places that only sell pissy lager, Sambuca and no real beer! It had a disco, playing mostly 80's stuff which suited me fine lol. Nothing like belting out Living on a Prayer one moment and Abba's Dancing Queen the next lol. By 10pm I was er, drunk as a fart merry lol. Him indoors was standing there minding his own business when this guy pulled him onto the dance floor and started dancing with him. I nearly pee'd my panties with laughter and he was mouthing 'help' at Ben and I..........it was just too funny and of course we DIDN'T rescue him lol. He managed to escape eventually lol. By 1.30am we both just had to get a taxi home. At 40 something, I'm just too old for that kinda thing anymore. I used to party hard in my younger days, but my joints were hurting from too much dancing.........and I wanted a cup of tea! ROFLMFAO! So needless to say, we had a good time and have decided to go out once a month for a meal and a drink or two and not out half the night. That, we will do occasionally lol.

Yesterday I was slighly the worse for wear, aching more than anything, so I had a nice relaxing day playing WoW and then watched Primeval in the evening before going back on WoW again lol.

Happy Birthday Him Indoors!

It's him indoors birthday today. I bought him several things and stitched this bookmark for him. He is like me and nutty on dragons lol. I cooked him porkchops for dinner and then the twins sang happy birthday to him when I bought a chocolate birthday cake in for him . I bought him a watch and cufflink set, set with a diamond, a book on stars and planets and some really nice Dunhill aftershave called 'Black'. The twins bought him two books that belong to a triology. He already has the first one, and he was well chuffed with them.

Flowers

This bunch of flowers is what Him Indoors presented me with when he got home today. First thing I said to him was, 'what have you done?' lol and he replied 'nothing'. Then I said 'oh, you saying sorry to what you did to my poor doggy then' and he gave a sheepish grin, so I took that as a 'yes' then hehehe. Love the blue ones!

This was my doggy Lindita before she went to the groomers. As you can see, she desperately needed grooming.

The big mistake was letting him indoors take her to the parlour. He let the groomer leave her ears all long and shaggy.............OMG what does she look like! Shes a Shitzu/Westie cross................it looks like she has been poodle-rized lol.
